Has anyone used Sky Auction .com

Hi there,
Does anyone have experience using sky auction.com? I was checking into flights to London and there are some going for $1 (with taxes and all the posted fees it turns out to be about $500.) Is this some total scam or has anyone had positive results with this? I'd love any heads up you can give!

We won a bid on Skyauction.com for a cruise in Fiji. We paid US$450 for a cabin upgrade and US$80 for transfers to and from the airport. Neither of these 2 services were given to us and upon our return, they ignored our e-mails claiming simply that they were “investigating our case”. This has already dragged on for 4 months and I don’t think we would ever hear from Skyauction again if we hadn’t gotten American Express involved, asking them to reimburse us. Even so, Skyauction’s claims are simply unbelievable, saying that we were given compensations like drink credits on the cruise. What a scam!! Stay away from skyauction.com!!

Good to know -- thank you very much. I didn't end up traveling with them and from what I have been hearing I won't be.

I have used Sky Auctions several times with great results. I found them very professional, and I am very satisfied with their service. A person always has to be aware of what they are buying, and read any find print.

I have used skyauction for two great trips. The first was a one-bedroom condo in a wonderful resort, right on the Las Vegas strip. The whole week cost me $99, and the unit had five new appliances, a fully-equipped kitchen (including dish clothes, towels, etc). Although it was at the south end (new) end of the strip, there were exclusive shuttle buses leaving every hour w several stops along the strip; it also shuttled to a large grocery store weekly. It was actually a time-share resort that they hadn't filled yet, but you did not have to hear their sales pressure unless you wanted free show tickets.

The second time was a very deluxe resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Our hotel was one of 5 of the resort chain, but because it was the most expensive, we had free meals and drinks at any resort, including the steakhouse. The 10 days for two of us cost $200. Others we met on the beach, etc wondered how we could afford that resort.

it's not a scam, many people have used it and has received several positive reviews
