Heading to Thailand

Post Wed Apr 13, 2005 7:19 pm

Hi All,
My boyfriend and I are hoping to head to Thailand next year for three to six months. Our trip will eventully end in Fiji, we have property there, but we were wondering how much the average person squirrels away to live for six months in thailand-just a ballpark figure.
Thanks,
J

I can't say from personal experience, but from what I've heard from other people is that if you can budget say $2000 per month you'll have way more than enough. Of course it all depends on your level of comfort, I'm sure there are ways to blow through that budget too.

Good luck!

If you are backpacking and camping, you can get by for $500 a month or less, but if you want to live the life while you are there, $2000 a month is very comfortable.
