Help - Should I travel, study, or work?

Post Thu May 04, 2006 10:12 am

I am a 19 year old student and I have just graduated highschool. I live in a small town, and have been recently been accepted to the Universities that I have applied to.
I am stuck, because I would much rather travel, and find a job anywhere but here, (preferably overseas) and see the world before I decide to start further schooling.
I don't know how to go about this, and I have no clue where to start. I don't know how I will find a job somewhere, but I need to do something.

help?

In my opinion...
School comes first, it'll be much easier to travel & work abroad with an educational background.
Plus you can demand more money.
Maybe getting out of your small town & into a U will open your eyes a smidge ... also College years can, correction will be the best years of your life, you don't want to pass that experience up do you?
Plenty of time for a boring droning working life later on.

Take my word on this.

Best of luck on your endeavours,
W.

Depends on what you wanna do!

I worked for a year and saved up my money, then went backpacking my first time since I was 18. I never went to University, but that's for other reasons (I'm not much of a student).

But I've basically been traveling ever since and love it.

If I were you I'd see about doing an internship or something abroad for the summer or something.

Have you tried monster.com and others?
