Just stick to the facts. Just say that you applied as an unmarried partner visa (not as a dependent), which is a completely different application. It would have been more complicated if you were refused a Tier 5 YMS before as you would have had to explain why your application is different this time.

If you don't have enough space, you can write the rest in the "Additional information" section at the end.

and if you go to pay for your application and it says that there are no enrolment stations in your area, you have to scrap that application and start a new one.

I got that message several times and after searching, found an email address to send a enquiry to the UK Border Agency. Within a few hours of submitting my email, I got a phone call from them and they tried to figure it out on their end. I was told that I might have to scrap that application and start a new one but she would look into it further and get back to me. About half an hour later, she called me again and said that I had to start a new one because it was a technical glitch that couldn't be fixed and that I was the unlucky few that this happens to. lol...great! At that point I already had my WorldBridge appointment booked with my original GWF number but I figured out how to change it to make it all line up properly.

lol - message me if you have any problems. If something can go wrong, it'll most likely happen to me!! hehehe

Hi Iv!
The forms I submitted with my application were VAF9, Appendix 7, the online printout of the application, Online self assessment, and then supporting documents (bank statement - but make sure its STAMPED from the bank, letter from the bank confirming funds (also stamped!), any passports both new and old, i also submitted my birth certificate but they didnt need it).
There should be no need to apply as tier 5 temp worker on top of YMV.
hope this helps!!

I only sent in a bank statement (printed at my bank) and a letter confirming the amount in both my chequing and savings account and the currency conversion of each account into £. This worked out well.

I also printed out the VAF9 form and filled it in but didn't need it (it was handed back to me). I did the online self assessment and printed that out as well as the handwritten one. The online printed version was handed back. I also made copies of everything and all of my copies were handed back.

Essentially, I only handed in the following:
-1 bank statement that I had printed while at the bank
-1 letter from my bank (stamped + business card) confirming funds
-printed online application (signed/dated)
-handwritten assessment (signed/dated)
-passport

I post dated my visa for August 22 2011. On my VAF9 form, the girl had me handwrite and sign to request that it be post dated for this date (which aligned with my proposed travel date). They approved it for August 22nd.

My biometrics appointment was in Toronto for a Monday afternoon. Everything arrived in Ottawa by Tuesday mid-morning. Wednesday afternoon I received an email from Ottawa stating that my visa had been approved. Thursday I had a phone call from Worldbridge advising me that I could pick everything up.
