Help!

Post Tue Aug 11, 2009 6:41 pm

Hi,

I'm actually looking to apply as a hedge fund analyst at a hedge fund (obviously :) ). Can I actually apply for TN-1 status under accounting and say I'm a financial analyst? Since like a financial analyst, I will be looking through financial statements quite a lot to write reports and verify current performance and make future estimates etc.

Thanks

I doubt it but have a look through the OOH as CBP use it for guidance: http://www.bls.gov/OCO/

No. You can't bend the job titles to fit your needs. The Accounting TN is limited to Accountants.

No, financial analysts don't qualify under the accounting category. Your only option is getting the employer to sponsor you for an H-1B.
