Help: Wanting Ski Job in the Alps

Hey there,
First post here. I don't really know what to do with my life but I know I really want to travel. I also know I love to ski. And I also know that I am nearly broke. I am interested in getting a job at a ski resort somewhere in Switzerland, France, Italy, or Austria for the winter season of 2009/2010. There are two problems. First, I only speak English and very limited French (dropped french after grade 10). Second, I do not have a EU passport which most if not all companies want . Also, its been years since I have skiied and am not a certified instructor. Has anyone gotten a job in the Alps at one of the bigger resorts? Does anyone any companies that take Canadians on? Is anyone there right now? Is anyone else looking for a similar job such as working in a chalet, hotel, or a bar?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
5jordan
