hi,
i need help from a Canadian who married a chinese.
Is it correct that the documents i need are:1-birth certificate,2- affidafit that i was never married, and 3-passport?
Do i need to translate 1 and 2 in chinese?

Those are the correct documents. I received my affidavit at the consulate in Chongqing with translation for a couple of hundred yuan.

SunWuKong, thanks a lot for this confirmation! I just realized, that as a canadian,living and working in USA since 1999, i might need to get a confirmation of my single status from Washington state secretary?!( the state i currently work and live). Do you know anything about this?

I am not 100% on that but if I were to guess, since you would be submitting a Canadian passport with a sworn statement through the Canadian government that you are not married in Canada that would suffice. The Chinese government would not know that you have lived in the US.
