If you have a valid Canadian passport, you can move straight away ! Just enter the country with your Canadian passport. Very Happy

Welcome "home"! If you've just sold a nice house there you might have enough to retire on. Wink Perhaps it depends where you live in the UK, but when I was there it seemed as though the cost of everything was about 2x what it is here in my city.
If you do indeed move, I hope you settle in a place where you will feel at home quickly and find a good job.
Bless you in that!

If you have been out of the country since childhood, you probably don't have a SIN (social insurance number). You'll need this to find any work in Canada or to open a bank account, so you might want to apply right away (you'll need your birth certificate). You can find the forms at http://www.servicecanada.gc.ca/en/sin/forms.shtml. You might as well apply for your kids as well. Take or send the application to a consular officer at the High Commission in London. John
