Hi guys
Any Canadians in the
brisbane area that might
be interested.and dont know
We have an ice hockey team in
Brisbane known as the Brisbane
Bluetongues. They feature some great
local talent as well as some fantastic
Canadian imports. There is a friendly
fan base which includes quite a few
Canadians. The hockey is great!
The team plays out of Boondall Iceworld
in Boondall, Brisbane
Come along! You know you wanna.
The team is a struggling franchise,
so we really need more "bums on Seats"
It is fun and affordable, and after
the game you get to meet and have a
beer with the players in the
Bluetongue bar. The team plays in the
AIHL, and plays against Sydney, Melbourne
Adelaide, Newcastle,Canberra and Central Coast
Teams.
Hope to see you there!
Also if you wish to chat with other
Hockey lovers, there is a forum
known as Hockeypulse
search for with Google. The
forum is great fun and good for meeting
other hockey fans in Australia.
Hope to see you at "the Lizard Pit"
Soon! Oh almost forgot!
The games are televised on Brisbanes
local community tv station, Bris 31

Just watched the Canadian visiting team the Moose play at the Boondall arena and it was great!
My wife is Australia born and had never seen a game and she's hooked so we'll see you all there.

I'm pretty sure Melbourne has a rink or two. I know they are park of the professional league here.

For some reason my internet is acting up so I can't get you a link. But if you search for ice rinks in Australia you should find a list of all the rinks.

So you should be fine bringing your hockey gear. I don't think you'll have any trouble finding a team, they really like getting Canadians Smile

Which rink are you hoping to play at in Brisbane?

We live in Wellington Point, so I'm not sure if we should be driving to the rink in Acacia Ridge, or the one up North.
