Holland or Spain; which would YOU choose?

Hey guys,
I'm planning to go to either Spain or the Netherlands in September as an au pair, and honestly, I'm at a crossroads. I would really like to go to Spain as it seems like a very different experience from anywhere else in Europe, but living in the Netherlands also appeal to me a lot.
So I've got to ask, in your opinion, which country is a better country to travel to as a young female, and why?
