How can I get NHL games on tv or pc?

Post Sun Aug 20, 2006 1:48 pm

Hi. I'm new to this site but not new to England (long story but been here 4 years and kinda stuck here). Anywho.I love hockey, so.

Channel 5 used to play NHL games after midnight a couple of years ago, but I couldn't find any last year - plus that's way past my bedtime. And I tried getting some through rogers/sympatico (online) but it said I could only view them from within Canada! Just want to be prepared this year, if possible.

BTW, if there are any other Canadians around Peterborough, I could use a friendly face. Christie :smt006

get Sky TV and then subscribe to NASN. It will satisfy all your hockey needs!

Hi Deus. Thanks for idea but SkySports is way out of my tiny budget! :( Any other suggestions?

Nope.
The North American Sports Network is your only source of, yup, North American Sports!

That's wicked.

Being able to watch (or record) CBC's Hockey night in Canada every Saturday is definitely worth £15 per month.

Will every Leafs game be broadcast on this channel? If not, what is the percentage like? Does anybody have a decent guesstimate based on previous years?

In the season, they just play loads of hockey all day. Even Junior hockey. Once or twice a month, viewers get to vote on the game they want to see. Don't know about the leaf games really as I don't follow them.

Hi Deus. Would love to pop over but. Never heard of Wrecsam - short for something longer by looks of map and if so, it's in Surrey and unfortunately a very long drive for a beer and hockey game! What's your team then?

Hey Sleephead - you from TO? Lived there for 5 years before moving over here. But am a Sens fan first (lived there for much longer)!

Yup, Sleepyhead represents Toronto. And the town of Whitby as well!

Hey, I just visited Ottawa in June. What a modern city! And so clean. Nothing like London, eh?

Unfortunately, you're a Sens fan, so I am required to hate your guts.

However, since we're in the UK, I can put the rivalry aside. We're on the same team now.

:)
