How Can I sponsor My US Citizen Fiance into Canada?

Hello Every one;

Does any one knows about how can I sponsor my wife into Canada? She has two kids from previous marriage, important part for all this moving thing that Kids can go to school here (in Canada) with out any delay.

Please help me out here.

Sponsorship is easy - Getting her permanent residency is the hard part.

Go to www.cic.gc.ca and follow the immigration links. Being approved as a sponsor is the first step to bringing her in.

Get all the forms and make sure you fill them out correctly (follow the guide on the website). Then send them in. Then wait.and wait.keep waiting.and hopefully it should work out. I think being approved as a sponsor is pretty straight-forward as long as you don't owe the gov a bunch of money or anything like that.

is she your fiancee or your wife? Your title says one, and your post another.

For sponsorship, you can send it all in at the same time, to save yourself some apart time, but then your fiancee/wife and kids will have to have their medical exam before you send in the forms.

The forms will need to be filled differently if you're married or not. Canada does not have a Fiancee Visa like the US does. They do have a conjugal partner sponsorship, or spousal sponsorship, depending on your situation.

Its an expensive and frustratingly long process, but at least if you change your mind, or are denied for any reason, CIC will refund 75% of your paid fees. US immigration doesnt do that.
