Hi, I'm new here and need some advice. Basically I spent 6 years living in Canada, whilst my ex was on a work visa,we are both British citzens,(but I have recently found out that my mothers father's father was Canadian,we dont have any paperwork as my mum was originally adopted) we didnt go ahead with our citzenship(my ex's work were willing to pay for it,but they had to many restrictions on it) we left near the end of 2000,and moved back to UK, whilst in Canada,my son was born, and is a Canadian citzen, which is fine, we however had Perm-Resident status, and we were issued with a returning-residents visa as we were undecided at that time on what to do. We have been back in the Uk, for 9 years now,and I really want to return to Canada with my children, I'm not sure if I still have my Perm-Resident status anymore,as the
Uk high commision site states I might have. I'm really confused as I really hope i havnt left it to late! and I also wanted to know as my son is a Canadian citzen, and he is disabled(meaning he would need a chaporone) if he wants to go to Canada, how easy is it to return with a child who is Canadian, but the parent is not? sorry for this but it's really eating me up!!
