I have heard many different experiences about montreal PET airport. Some people I talk to say they have to wait sometimes but get the permit after only a few simple questions and review of their degrees. On the flip side I've heard of the customs people grilling the person about what they do, why they are qualified ect and then deny citing lack of paperwork, qualifications, or job not the profession requesting. Has anyone had experiences or advice about this Airport.

Thanks, interested on how others are dealt with.

For 2 years in a row (2 TN's) I had no problems. They just asked for paperwork (i.e work letter, passport, degrees/certifications) and I got through. This year (Sept) I had the hardest time. They grilled me for over an hour, called my hr dept in Fort Lauderdale, spoke to my boss. Finally they approved me. Again, last weekend I had to return home to Montreal due to my father passing away, they gave me a hard time again even after being approved last month! I need to marry an American soon!

What type of work is it? Did they say what the concern was?

Well my position is Computer Systems Analyst so they seem to LOVE to question people on that position. They said that I didn't make enough for that position, bla bla bla.

Hi,
I am currently live in Montreal.I have a job offer in the US & the company's attorney is preparing a petition for a TN for me.Which POE should I use to go through. Is Philipsburg(VT)or Montreal airport is recomended? The attorney is asking me to go through a busy POE with a pre-screen.
Any suggestions are welcome.
Thanks
