How long can I stay per year? per visit? it's confusing

flag poling is when you leave the US, go back to Canada for a day or half a day, and then return to the US thinking this will re-set your 6 months.

only problem with that is i am on the east coast of canada and hes in texas so it would be expensive for me to flagpole like that


but in regards to filling out the k1 visa while i am there and then him sending it in after i leave would not be a problem would it

Nope, wouldn't be a problem at all, as long as you leave before you wear out your welcome.

i was just down last month for 2 weeks i am going back down in july for a month does those 2 weeks count towards the 180 days

So I am allowed to stay the US for 6 months without a visa , but I am not allowed to extend my stay or change my immigration status .

You can renew, by mail, filing I-539, but you need a good reason.

As a Canadian, as an employee of a foreign based Company who has clients in the US, what is the maximum stay of each trip to the US using my passport? I'm not 100% certain if I can stay 3 or 6 months at a time without a Visa?

It depends on what you are doing. Are you staying in the USA woring for months at a time? Or are you coming a week at a time for meetings and such.
