How many days before job start should one apply for TN?

How many days before the job start one can apply for TN? Any input is appreciated. Thank you all.

About 2 to 3 weeks is a reasonable period. However, you may lose that part out of 12 month period.

Technically, I think they won't approve a TN visa if you apply more than one week in advance of your start date on the job offer letter.
