How to move to the States for business

I am an owner of a business that is going to be operating mostly in the States. I now hold a Canadian PR and my business partner is Canadian. We want to start the process of moving ourselves and our company to the States, but we don't know where to begin and what lawyer to contact. Any advice is appreciated.

You probably qualify for the L1A intra-company transfer. A Canadian citizen can obtain it directly at the port of entry, but as a permanent resident, you would need to apply at a service center within the US and once approved get a visa at the consulate. The process might be much longer for the permanent resident, so you should start the process as soon as possible.
