I have been living abroad for four years. I have a need to resolve significant financial issues in Canada either through formal bankruptcy or other means of settling with creditors. I wish to return to Canada someday but not yet. It appears however that I may not be able to resolve these issues before I re-establish residence in Canada. Does anyone know whether my current "unresolved" bankruptcy status will automatically become offical at any point in the future? If not, has anyone pursued bankruptcy in Canada while living abroad? THanks for the advice.
