I-129F Req's Proof 4 Previous 2 Yrs, I Only Have Enuf 4 1 Yr

-Newbie here-

Greetings and Blessings to everyone!

First I'd like to say it is truly heaven-sent that there is a forum like this and I only wish I knew about it sooner! I do believe that I will be on here for a long time, hoping to not only receive valuable advice but to also try helping others by sharing my experiences :-)

Ok. Enough of the mushy talk, hehe

My question is, or rather, my situation is:

My fiance and I have been friends for a little bit over 6 years (we met through a mutual friend in Toronto). Throughout the years we kept in contact and anytime I would make a trip down to the States I would either stay with him or visit him, if I happened to stay with family. He would do the same.

Long story short - We fell in love upon one of my visits down *aaaah love* and have been together, ever since, for almost 2 years.

The problem - We are now choosing to file an I-129F and noticed that you have to provide proof of having personally met in the previous two years. Because we were too busy being in love and weren't thinking about the process of things we're a bit stuck. We only have email receipts of e-tickets dated back as far as August 2007 (We pretty much would either drive or take the bus and unfortunately I don't have any prior stamps on my passport because I used a DL and Birth Certificate before August 2007; not to mention they never stamp my passport when crossing, nor his - although the last few times I did request for them to do it). I don't have any phone records because we always used phone cards *sighs* We pretty much only have pictures, some bus tickets, couple of e-tickets, a few stamps in our passports, car rental receipts, hotel receipts (not sure if that's really proof), Skype account created a year ago.

So the question: Is this going to be a problem? Is providing only a bit over one year's worth of proof not enough?

You know it's so funny because when you're in a relationship, even with it being LD, you're not thinking to keep copies and receipts of everything - you're just being.

I hope one of you is able to provide me with some decent advice. Please.

Thanks :-)

*oh, and sorry for the essay, lol

sounds like plenty of evidence. You can also ask friends and family if they have any photos going back any further, before you "offically" started dating. Your evidence doesn't have to be specifically since you were dating and decided you were in love, but any time that you've known each other.

For more detailed info on fiancee visa to the US, and to get info from others who've been there done that, see http://www.visajourney.com

Perfect!

We'll definitely ask around.

In the meantime all we have to work with is a bit over a year's worth, so I truly hope that is sufficient :-)

Thanks for your reply, Reba!

We had some friends write letters stating their knowledge and experiences with our relationship. (i.e. we attended several social events with them from 2004 until present time.We have watched their love grow over this time.etc.)and had them noterised. We also had a lot of pictures so I don't know if the letters helped but they didn't hurt.
