Road To Canada marriage based immigration info for Canada.
You will indeed have to do some paperwork for your kids, but you can do that after you arrive in Canada I think, or you can do it before you move, and get the application from the Canadian Consulate in the US closest to where you currently live.

I don't think they'd be able to apply for Canada passports if they do not have a Certificate of Citizenship along with their US birth certificate.
