I'm British!

So here I've been scanning the net trying to find out what friggin form I fill out to register as a Brit and my friend makes one little call to the British High Commission in Ottawa (and finally speaks to a person) and it turns out I'm already British and I've been British since birth, I just don't have proof of it.
So I'm applying for my passport now.
Woo hoo!
I suddenly feel a little different.
