I need the luck of the Irish (how to get into Canada...?)

Post Thu Mar 08, 2007 9:38 pm

Does anyone know how to get an Irish boyfriend (future fiancee) in Ireland who already came to Canada via working visa (and cannot reapply under the under 35 year old Visa again) into Canada? Immigration (family class, skilled worker)or Work permit? Please help me, if you know any info. Thanks!

Hiya,

If you've been living together for over a year, you can apply for permanent residency under common-law status. That's what my fiancee and I did. Once you're approved as a sponsor, then I think he can apply for a work visa while the rest of the application is going through.

GOod luck!

Thanks! We cannot prove we have lived together consecutively for 12 months so I think we have to go for conjugal status. Does he have to apply for a work permit and immigration?
