Hi everyone,

Im new here, and im sure everyone is gonna flame me for not searching. BUT.
I want to work in the usa but live in my home in canada. What specifically should i be looking for or what do i need to do this successfully.

must i have the employer's letter of offer before i apply for a tn status? or is there a visa that would be a better solution since i noticed the tn is only a yearly? thing?

Any help would be greatly appreciated !

Thanks!
Nate

TN-1 was specifically designed expressly for this purpose because you have to have "bona fide non-immigrant intent" to get it. If you plan on living in Windsor permanently that will only help.

Yes, you must have the employer's letter to apply for it, and fit into one of the NAFTA categories. The fact that's it's a yearly renewal in your case is largely academic because you live in Canada so getting to the POE is simple.
