Years ago, I was given a great opportunity to work in the U.S. I worked there for a short period of time, but then moved back to Canada, largely because I wanted to go back to school and it was more affordable. Also, it was one of those things where you don't realize what you have until it is too late. I have always regretted that decision, I was happier when I was working in the U.S. at a lower paying job with nicer people and less responsibility. Basically, ten years and one law degree after leaving the US, I am worse off now then I was then. So, after years of struggling in Canada, I would like to move back to the U.S.
Of course, I am familiar with the sad state of the economy and the fact that few Canadians make the move to the U.S. as compared to in the nineties. However, I am wondering from the Canadians that are on this forum and have recently moved to the U.S., what professions are you in and what professions are still in demand in the U.S.?
Thanks so much.
