My first thought on reading this thread was that the original poster does not understand that a TN is dependent on having already secured a job. Since this is the basis upon which the TN is issued it's implausible that you aren't going to perform the job, and go in as a visitor because you didn't get approved.

I guess my assumption was not that they were considering lying, just that wasa didn't understand. I guess I wouldn't cut it as a POE officer. :D

While we are on the topic of "lying". My advice is if you want to lie, then lie. Who are we to stop someone's choice of action.When they get caught and barred from future entries, they will know why they should NOT have lied in the first place.

I know people who have been barred 3 and 10 years respectively for lying to a CBP official about their intent here in the U.S. I'm sure now they have learned their lesson because while one is trying extensively for an appeal, the other has no intention on coming back because his experience was that horrible.
