Immigrating but want to do taxes

I am a Canadian Citizen and now immigrating to the USA because I am now married to my wonderful husband who is a USA citizn. I have been here for almost six months and filed my Immigration papers a few weeks ago.

I wanted to do my taxes up in Canada but HR-Block told me that I have to file my taxes in the states since I have been here for six months during year 2005. Also because I am married to a USA Citizen. I just filed my papers, and I don't have a Social Security number, green card or anything yet. I came to USA legally by Canada.

How can I file my taxes here in the States with my Canadian Taxes??

If you can, hop back over the border to Canada, get HR Block to do your return for ya and then go back to the States. Just don't tell HR block about where you live.
