I would like to know the options regarding how I can continue to maintain my present job while staying in Canada.
Here is my situation:
1. I'm currently in US on H1B
2. Landed on a PR visa in Canada about 18 months ago (but stayed only for 10 days and went back to US)
3. Intend to move to Canada in the next 4-5 months
4. Current company is a private, startup company based in US with no offshore offices or employees at the moment
5. My H1B expires in less than a years time (after which I will be forced to stay outside the US for at least a years time)
I haven't yet discussed this possibility with the present employer, but would like to know of the viable possibilities before I approach them.
Assuming that my employer is open to continuing my employment after I move to Canada, I would like to know how the payment processing would work and what it would take to make this possible. Perhaps my employer would need to register an office in Canada? Or I set up a private company and the employer "outsources" the work to me?
Not very familiar with the employment laws in such an event and where to go looking for more information (except Google)
