Hello all

I was just speaking to an immigration lawyer in the UK who told me that the sponsoring partner (UK citizen) had to have approximately £4000 in savings. Has anyone had a successful application where the sponsor had significantly less?

I wish my sponsor (my wife) had that much money. As it is, we're entering with probably half that amount, and this was made clear during the visa application process. It didn't seem to pose any problems, as the application was successful.

Thanks! That is really encouraging. This is such a stressful time, it really helps to hear from people who have been successful.
