I have been living in the USA and paying taxes under a TN-1 for 6 years. I recently received an opportunity to contract and work remotely either in Canada or the USA, but I must incorporate. I have incorporated in the USA (Delaware) and stated Massachusetts as my location. I am now returning to Canada.
I believe I have two options: I was told by the incorporation company that I can have a Canadian location and still be incorporated in the USA (Delaware); or I can incorporate in Quebec, where I am now residing.
Is there any advantage to incorporating in the USA versus Canada if your client is a US company, but has offices in Canada? Any advantages tax-wise?
Thanks in advance,
Rachel
