Information about live in

Post Tue Dec 11, 2007 7:00 pm

Hello
I just got a job as lecturer at Wollongong University, starting on February 2008. I’ll like to have some advices about finding an apartment. Also, some information about the lifestyle compares to Montréal.
How about the English there?
Sincerely

Have a look at:

http://www.realestate.com.au

There's a tab at the top for rental properties. That should get you started.

What exactly are you asked about "the English"?

Yes this is an english speaking country :) So the majority of the population only speaks english, or is their first language.

And yes there are lots of english people from the UK. Other than that not sure what you mean.

I'm also going to assume you have some sort of work visa already. If you don't you'd better look into that ASAP as they take time to get.

Thank very much for your quick respond.
About language, English is not my native one. So I would like to improve my speaking during my stay in Wollongong.
Yes I have already started my visa procedure and hope to get one very soon.

Thank.

Ok, the english part makes sense now.

Everyone speaks english so you'll probably get lots of exposure that way. You could also see if the University has any english second language courses, or other courses that might help you. They might even pay for it since it would help you as a lecturer.
