Heya! I've not been on here in some time, but I thought someone might be able to offer some suggestions.

I'm Canadian, my British born hubby has his visa application in so we can move back to Vancouver (seven years here in the UK is plenty thanks!). The info regarding his medical is confusing though. We've had the go ahead for him to have the medical. I've booked his appointment, but the doctor's office said they send the test results etc. to the consulate in London, rather than back to us. That's fine, but we have to send some additional paperwork back to Mississauga that we overlooked the first time.

I can't get an answer from "officials", so I'm wondering, can we not have the medical stuff sent to us so we can send it back to Mississauga with the rest of the paperwork? I'm a bit concerned about one part of the information going one way (from us to Canada) and the medical going via the consulate (who's competency, frankly, leaves me shaking my head). If any of it goes missing, we're out money and time.

Any opinions, suggestions etc. appreciated.

Ali

No you can't, they provide the information in confidence to the High Commission so that it can't be tampered with. I'm not clear why you're doing the application via Mississauga, if you're in the UK it should all go through the High Commission in London.

If you haven't figured it out yet, the High Commission has their "own" application forms you also have to fill out in addition to the CIC forms, which makes the whole thing even more confusing, have a look on the Canadian High Commission in London website for more info.
