Information needed about Egypt & India

Hello, My husband and I may have a chance to move to either Egypt (Cairo) or India (Bombay). A decision has to be made soon as to where we would like to live for the next two yrs or so. I have been searching the internet but everythign I find is mostly touristic info, I really need to know what is it like to live in a place for months/years. How are the expats treated like? Is the treat on Westerners just as bad there as in Iraq or Saudi Arabia? Is it dangerous? Any information / advise would be greatly appreciated.

My wife, son and I are considering going to Cario too in July....I have had a lot of positive answers from folk living there (Tigerlady esp).......some who will be the place I'm going to work, whom although their contract is up, want to stay...so we are going anyway!

Hi there..

I know lots about Egypt..and a client of mine has a very nice 2 bedroom apt in a clean safe area 10 min drive to downtown and Giza Pyramids..they have an American student staying in their apt now for 5 months and will leave next month(end of Feb. 2006).
