Just like Tylerc, I too am a fellow canuck who loves to travel. I've been fortunate enough to check out Costa Rica and New Zealand so far this year and I just took a job at a traveling website: zoomandgo

Looking forward to chatting with all of you guys.

Hi Everyone, not Canadian but Aussie so I hope you don't mind (does the Commonwealth count?).
Living as an expat in Jakarta and was wondering if there any Canadians there.
Just seeking fellow westerners to socialize with (especially the female variety).

Hello Matt. I've just signed up. I currently live in Switzerland - have been for 1.5 years. I AM CANADIAN and hail from sunny Alberta - near Calgary. I have many interests and could possibly contribute to almost any conversation. Just one request - can you add a "Canadians in Switzerland" section to this site?

Hi everyone. I love this site! I am from the Greater Toronto Area, and am currently in the last year of my undergraduate degree. I plan on moving to the UK to do my Masters in the Fall of 2008, I'm not sure if this will be a permanent relocation.

Hello Everyone!

I haven't seen any posts from anyone living in Ireland so thought I would jump in.

I am originally from Alberta, right near Jasper in the Rocky Mountains, and boy do i miss those mountains! But I have been living and working in Dublin, Ireland for the past 3 1/2 years and loving it to bits. I married an Irish man 2 years ago and we have hopes of moving back to Canada in the next few years, moving hopefully to the Vancouver area. If anyone from the Vancouver area has any tips on living in the area, renting or buying, best place to live etc let me know so we can get started.

p.s anyone want any travel advice for Ireland drop me a note!

Take it easy eh? Wink

I have just found this site and boy do I wish I had seen it sooner. My family and I live in South Yorkshire, UK however we are in the process of moving back to BC next august after 8 years in the UK. While it has been a good experience, it is NOT home.
While BC has the nature and scenary, the one thing that I truly miss is the truly friendly hospitality that you just cannot find over here in the UK. There are nice people, but customer service is generally non-existent. Have enjoyed Lee Evans and the Royle Family though.

Am married with 4 children, work in a hotel near Doncaster as a night porter having just completed my Bsc (hons) in Psychology. Am a referee with the FA and enjoy playing the drums, but cannot wait to return home and renew my pilots license so can fly up and down the coast of BC.

Truly nice to see everyone's story and look forward to further contibuting to this site
