Hi all. I am Canadian born in Ajax (just outside Toronto for those who don't know!) Been living in Uk for a number of years and going back home in the next 5 years. Have just joined this site so hopefully will get to keep up to date with back home. :D

Hi all,
I'm a Canadian born and raised and lived most of my life in Victoria, BC. I've been living in Melbourne, Australia for the past year and a half, living with my partner and our puppy and working in clinical research.

Hiyo everyone!

My name is Sean, I'm Canadian, and just recently moved from Regina, Saskatchewan to Yakima, WA, USA, and am feeling kinda homesick.

Life feels good with my new wife, but I sure miss the gravel roads of Saskatchewan sometimes, or the emptiness, the true out in nowhere of driving. Washington doesn't have it as much, as even the forest roads in Gifford Pinchot National Forest or around Mt. Rainier feel well civilized. I miss the rugged interior, but still love the mountains, ocean, and this sage brush desert land of Yakima I now call home.

Am currently waiting on my EAD and adjustment, as well as planning college, as would like to become a nurse, followed by my lifelong goal of doctor.

Can't help but think of moving back to Canada already though, namely BC, as I'm a sissy, I admit. We'll see how things go.

I do love the free time to study French and Arabic again though, and just do whatever, rather than working like crazy. :P

Introduce myself

Post Tue Jun 09, 2009 9:42 am

Hi! I'm originally from the Philippines. I have been living here in Montreal, Canada for 13 years, it is a great country because it is a safe place to live and it has 4 seasons. Unlike my country, it is super humid all year around but you know, there is no place like home. I missed the food and the beach and I'm still proud to be a Filipino.
I am a nurse by profession and I like to work and travel in different places.
My hobbies are singing, strolling with my HD sportster, and playing tennis. In winter time, I learn to skate boarding, it's fun and I love it.
I am so thankful to be with this group and it is a pleasure to share with you all.

Hi everybody!

I'm a 35 yr old Canadian man living in Canada right now. Pretty ordinary, right?

Here's the thing:
My wife and I are considering purchasing a property and operating a small business in Marrakech, Morocco. Should this happen, we would need to leave Canada for Morocco, to run the business and live.
We have no children to think about. We are both seasoned travelers and have visited before.

We'd have to sell/ store all belongings and take a MASSIVE risk, etc, etc...

People are a bit stunned when they hear this, but no one is telling us we're crazy. It should be crazy, shouldn't it?

I've just joined to see what ex-pats ESPECIALLY ANY CANADIANS LIVING IN MOROCCO RIGHT NOW, are talking about. I've lived lots of different places...in Canada, but not abroad. I have many questions, but hopefully after reading a lot, and hopfully talking with some of you "ex-pats" to help me make important decisions.

Nice to meet you all!
It's a beautiful summer evening, here in southern Ontario. Best wishes to you and yours...wherever you are!
