You can get your Cdn PP in a week if you really need to.

The Brit PP (yes, you are a citizen) can take a couple of months, and can only be done by mail to embassy in US. If you are going to UK, get Cdn PP first, and it may just be simpler to get Brit PP while there. You will need original birth cert from mother or father as well as thir marriage cert.

OH I feel so alone up here in East Yorkshire!!! If only I were closer to a decent city I maybe cud just about manage without Tim's- not the coffe though, ice capps! LOL. I've been here 8 yrs and married to a Brit. We have just sold our house and will be on our way home in July next year, Well, myself and our two children will be leaving in July as hubby can't come straight away.
I've enjoyed most of my time here- the countryside is great even if the weather doesn't really allow us to fully enjoy it, and of course travelling europe so cheaply is great but I've got to go home now- if I get any paler I'm going to have to start using my accent- english that is! lol
A bit of good news for all of you who are here and staying......we will be starting an import food business when we get back- with decent postage prices!!! so happy eating is on it's way!

Yo everyone:
What a wonderful site-so informative and interesting it almost feels like belonging to a huge family. I live in B.C. Canada, 55+ years old, (women's perogative never to divulge) and hopefully never have to work again.Ha. I have a ton of questions but will spare you on this introduction site. Just saying Hi and talk to you soon. Tenny
