Hello Everyone!

Post Tue Feb 02, 2010 9:50 am

Hi,

I have been living in Calgary for the past 30yrs or so and looking to make a move overseas. I have been actively looking for any information I can get to pass on my IT resume online but don't seem to be getting anywhere. So, I am planning a trip this summer to Dubai to find IT employment agencies. I would be very grateful if anyone know the addresses to respectful IT agencies there.

Thank you!

Hello,

I am from the Vancouver area, but have been living in Thailand for just over 2 years now. I have gone back at least once a year, next trip back coming up in a month.

I found this site today and joined, it will be nice to chat with fellow Canadians living abroad.

I also miss the Tim's, it is the first place I stop after arriving back in Vancouver.

Hello, I am a newbie here..I have learned so much from your forum.Thank you so much!

I am however, having a specific problem at the border. We have been denied access for failure to pay SEVIS fee. In short, we are unable to attain an I-20 form from the school since it is a public high school that my Canadian citizen daug was allowed to register in, by the State...went thru the court even with legal guardianship..

At any rate, we are going to have to (I think) remove her from that public high school, but how do we prove this to the border officials, so that she can continue with her skating training as a visitor for now?

Also, how do we apply for permanent residency? and would this allow her to go to a public school there?

Thank you for your help.

Hi,

My name is Jazz. I have been in Vienna since early 2009, and have moved here from Canada with my husband. We are looking to make new friends here, since both of us cannot speak Deutsch we are finding it very hard to make any friends. Would welcome to hear from any Vancourites.

I grew up in Canada and am finding Europe quite a change from North American life.
Was also wondering if anyone had tips on how to make learning Slovak easier?

Currently I am working at home and have lots of free time, so If anyone of you has any question or need any help related to China, or has plan to visit China, please feel free to let me know, maybe I can give you some advise or do something for you. By the way, I am now living in Shanghai.

Hello,
My name is Annelies van der Made. I live in Edmonton, Alberta. I have both my Canadian and Dutch citizenship and travel a lot. I travel so much that I obtained my IATA status so I could get good deals. I am a Foreign Exchange Trader with Globex Foreign Exchange company and I can beat any bank rate by 2-4%. As a whole sale foreign exchange broker I convert a minimum of $10k at a time. We do NOT add commision to our rates. If you are looking to buy a house abroad, a car or convert some of the funds you made working. Contact me and I would love to help you save money.

Greetings Canucks!

Originally from Windsor/Tecumseh, ON Canada, I've been an expat off and on since I was 18 years old. Although I did my undergrad studies in Canada, I managed to do exchanges in Mexico, France and then pursued gradwork in Switzerland and the Netherlands. I've also lived in Indonesia and now I'm teaching English in South Korea. This is my 27th country so I've inherited the travel bug in highschool.

It would be great to meet fellow canucks in South Korea or in other parts of Asia.

I love Canada, but I feel there's always more adventure when you're living an expat life. I love the outdoors and I'm now surrounded by mtns whereas living in Ontario I had to commute far up north to enjoy the fresh air. Maybe one day I will return and move to BC, but for now, there's too much to explore, learn, absorb and discover.

Cheers!
