Hey there everyone.
Recently signed up obviously. My fiance and I are getting married next May and we're looking to spend a month or so sauntering around Europe.
Here are our MUST countries.
Italy (I'm Italian)
Ireland (Guinness)
Denmark (She's Danish)
Germany (More Beer)
Would like to visit: Austria, Belgium, Netherlands, Switzerland,
If we have time: Czech Republic, Hungary, Luxumbourg, Scotland, Finland,
Sweden and Norway.
Now obviously something like Ireland and Scotland would make sense to see one after another, so there's a chance that Scotland is out. Shame really. The rough plan is to fly in somewhere, (London or Frankfurt probably) and get a Rail Pass and piss about until its time to leave. I was thinking doing a loop going from country to country spending a few days in some of the cities that we want to see.
I would love to take a train ride through the Swiss Alps.
I guess the biggest thing aside from where we want to go is WHEN we are going. Are there any suggestions? Do we leave right away and spend June pissing about Europe? Or should we wait a few months and go in late September / October to save on some money. If in fact going later saves money? I don't know.
Sorry for the scatterbrained intro. Its a lot for us to digest right now. Not only planning a wedding still, but looking at a month in
Europe with no real plan. Just a go with the flow type deal.
