Hey Smile

I'm David, originally from Montreal, did a student exchange in Grenoble, France for my last university semester in 2005. I loved it. now I'm in Villingen-Schwenningen, Germany for 6 months and I'm planning on staying in Germany for some time. I would love to move to Berlin since my girlfriend lives there.

Everyone feel free to contact me to chat, talk or even if you wanna take a beer if you are near.

See ya

David

Hi there

I moved to Germany in Jul 05 and now live in Belgium (not far from Brussels). What a difference between the two countries!

I absolutely love to travel and do it as much as possible. There is always something to do (markets, hiking, biking) - I don't think I've ever been bored since we've moved here. And despite the incredible amount of wine, cheese & chocolate, I manage to keep in shape (so I can indulge in MORE of this stuff). Has anyone else had the opportunity to do wine tasting/champagne tasting tours?

I do miss a few things about Canada but once you get used to live here, it's harder to remember those things. But, if you've ever driven in Belgium, you would understand that I am looking forward to driving on a REAL hi-way with somewhat sane drivers! I will have a hard time going back to North American restaurants though where they throw the bill at you and rush you out once you finish the last bite on your plate. And the wine here. fabulous.

If anyone wants travel tips for Belgium (I know it's not the most beautiful place in the world but it does have alot to offer), let me know.

C.

Too many beers - some of them are outrageous (fruit flavor, etc). I still love my kokanee! I'll have a chance to drink some in about 5 days as we're heading home to visit family. Thanks for the welcome - I look forward to reading/chatting with people!

Hi!

Living in Seal Beach, working in neighbouring Long Beach, California (Los Angeles metro area).and loving it.just about to renew my TN Visa.

Grew up in NW Ontario but then moved out west when I was a young man and never looked back - Edmonton, Lethbridge and Calgary (17 years there!).and a short stint of 4 years or so in BC.

Working as a civil engineer in the oil patch down here.can't say I miss the snow.although I'd like to go skiing before the snow is gone!
