Hi everyone. My name is Amisha. I was born in India and lived there for 9 years and moved to Vancouver after. I have lived 11 years in Canada and have recently moved to London (UK) 1 year bak for my degree. I am here for 2 more years but I miss Canada a lot! I have gotten a chance to explore so many different cultures and countries. I have been to 8 different countries in the last year. I never ever thought I would have an opportunity to see so much of Europe at such a young age.
I would love to meet other Canadians from London or anywhere in the UK so feel free to message me! Good luck on your travelling adventures everyone!

Ami

Lo everyone,

I'm originally from England but I've lived in so many places I'm beginning to lose track now of where I'm from. Moved to Canada at the start of this year.

And now I sit laughing at all the things that people in Calgary complain about, which are all about ten times worse in England, e.g. gas prices, traffic congestion, house prices, crime etc. Laughing

My only real gripe (surprise, surprise) is that it does get a little chilly during the winter but on the other hand it is a hell of a lot sunnier than England.

Also I find that Calgary is a tad isolated, bit of a long drive to get anywhere, but that's a relatively minor problem given that I can get on a plane and be in LA or Vegas in three hours. Wink

But generally speaking most things are so much easier here than in the UK. It's kind of hard getting used to not being stressed out all the time.

Hey everybody - I'm Lisa. Born and raised in Newfoundland Smile I left the rock in 1998 for graduate school, but I've yet to return to Canada for more than a 3 week vacation Sad I've lived all along the east coast of the US following my career bliss wishing the job options were also north of the border. I'm living in Baltimore right now and enjoying the steamed crabs and Natty Bo (seafood and beer, is there anything better?)

Hey all,

I'm George, lived in Winnipeg most of my life, received a degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Manitoba, and moved to Houston four years ago for work. I've been missing Canada since, despite going back twice a year (what can I say, nipple hardening cold, and bird sized mosquitoes have a nostalgic hold on me). Hard to believe we share a common language and I've only ever suffered culture shock in Texas. Good people and great BBQ here though, so one can't complain.

Probably will be heading back to Canada though for another degree. My Lord, they rape you here for an education! Oddly enough I haven't run into many Canucks down here (other than an amazing fantastic Nova Scotian >Beers to you Rachel<), so if anyone knows of an expat group in Houston, let me know.

Hi, I'm George. I'm about to complete my university degree and hopefully leave Canada by the end of 2007. I have a wonderful wife and a 4-month old son in Europe and I will be going back to my country of origin after 7 lovely years spent in Canada. With all the many reasons to leave Canada and pursue a dynamic career within my field in Europe, there are just as many reasons to come back and visit someday. With this introduction I would also like to ask for an advice, since my one-way trip is just a few months away - if there are any particulars I should attend to regarding banking, taxation, address change, immigration or else. Any advice would be very helpful. Thanks! Smile

Hi everyone,

I'm so thrilled I FINALLY found a website where I can talk to other Canadians here in Australia (and elsewhere).all my Google searches in the past yielded nothing!

I am a 31 yo female living in Ringwood, Melbourne for the past year and would love to meet other Canadians (ideally 29-37yo) who share my interests of the outdoors, nature, animals, travelling, motorcycling (anybody out there with a bike wanna go riding?).

I moved to Oz(Queensland)9.5 years ago (have dual citizenship) and can't wait to return to Canada, maybe in a year, I miss it SO much.the snow, the mountains, the forests, the wildlife, the food, you name it!

Anyways, look forward to chatting with you!

Hi all,

I am early years teacher living back here in Canada after having taught for a while in North Africa.

Good to be "home", but also recognising that the term "home" is fairly relative.

Love this site and the international connections that are made!
