italy: where to live?

Postby jeninitaly » Tue Jan 11, 2005 8:20 am

I'm looking to spend my maternity leave somewhere cheap and safe, preferably somewhere with an English-speaking ex-pat community (although I speak Italian, it would be nice not to sometimes). Can anyone recommend? Prefer central Italy, but open.

For me, you can tell a lot about an Italian town purely based upon thier piazza's, and peronally, San Remo has quite a few small piazza's which are central to family life. I was able to live there for just over a year, before heading to southern Italy, so if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

Hi there:

I am really interested in the process of moving away from Canada to live in Europe. How do you get started with the required paperwork etc. I know this sounds a bit trite , but I am finding it endlessly confusing to try and find this information. Thanks !!!
