On another visa related question - if the company is willing/able to hire me only as a trainee or an intern- which is the better option. Do I have to apply for a J1 visa first or can I apply for an H-3 visa? I am no longer a student having finished my studies in 01/07 - is it correct that I have to start my training bwithin 12 months of my graduation date?
There are no organizations like this in Canada that can offer similar training in this field - non-profit/independent film/documentary.

Also, is the minimum the company has to offer as stipend $500/month or does this depend on the state? Where would
I find the information for California?

Thanks Again,

HMS
