Job Offer in the US without NA degree

I have seen similar postings before about having a job offer from the US. Sadly, without a degree from the North America, TN is not issued for such a candidate. My situation is little different. I have a job offer from a big company in the US ( and I have worked for a big company in Canada for 6 years - not the same company of course! ) and I have a degree in Engineering, but not from NA. Its from India. Will I be rejected? Do I really need a NA degree or any relevant degree from around the world is valid enough.

Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

To get a TN, I don't think it matters where the degree is from. Only that you are a Canadian citizen, and that your degree matches your job description.

A degree from a non-North American institution is acceptable but you will need to get your credentials evaluated by a service that will state that your degree is comparable to an engineering degree from a North American university. You will then need to show this evaluation along with your diploma/transcripts when you apply for your TN.

Thanks for the information. I was enrolled at the University of Toronto (actually still am). I just went to work after finishing my coursework and thesis work - which means never defended. So, if I am trying to use the induction logic "since UofT accepted me, my credentials valid ", it will not be well accepted by border officers in the US.
