Hi.

I have a job offer for a Tech Publications Writer.

My current job title is Technical Writer. Will thise pose as a problem?

Do I also need present a resume in addition to a record of employment as a tech writer?

Thanks.

I'm in the US on a TN as a Technical Publications Writer and found the TN FAQ's thread on this site very helpful with prep. The advice for a technical publications writer TN is the same as any other TN-- make sure that your job title and spec match the official schedule of occupations as closely as possible, and make sure that your resume clearly outlines your qualifications for the position. Don't expect that the person at the border will be willing to read into the position anything more or less than what's clearly stated in print. I found my employer to be very cooperative in writing an offer letter that included the specific terms included in the official TN job spec.
You'll also need your transcript and degree from your post-secondary education.
Best of luck!

Thanks.
I got my TN, thankfully.

Now, I need to figure out the financial aspect of my move.

Also, I'm not withdrawing my RRSPs nor selling my properties.

Is there a reference book I can get to know what I should do?
