I have read past posts on defacto visa but I have a few questions regarding application for PR as a co applicant with my partner.
My partner has graduated from engineering and is applying for a GSM visa
I was wondering as a Canadian, should I wait for them to ask for a police check or should I just go ahead and get one done since most people are mentioning 4-6months wait. (I am studying in Australia at the moment)
the other thing is, how long is the police check valid for? should our de facto be unrecognised and I don't get PR through this application, I will need to apply separately in 1 year (dec 2012) after I graduate with my medical degree.
