L1A residency requirement for Canadian.

I have done a search but didn't find if this has been discussed before:

Can I, with an L1A visa, choose to live across the border in Canada and cross the border for work instead of outright moving to the US. Is this allowed or am I required to live in the the US while working under an L1A?

Assuming you have the right to live in canada, you can certainly maintain your home in canada and commute to work.

L1A allows you to work in US, it does not force you to live in US.
