Hi all,

I've been in mid Argyll, near Oban, since May and am planning to return home to sweet sweet Edmonton on halloween! However before I go I would like on an amazing Scotland ultratour as I have not really gotten around too much yet.

I will have about one week and £225 or slightly more and friends in Glasgow (where I will probably spend a bunch of time cuz its free Smile)

Would like to see the real highlands and some nice lochs and castles.

Any travelers wanting to have a drink and swap stories? Let me know of any really amazing things that I should see or do before I head back to my (snowy, already!!) home!

p.s. how can I best stretch out my cash?

*grins*

Hi Danni,
First question, what have you been doing near Oban all this time? Just curious, it's not exactly most people's first stop.
Second question, is it really snowy in Edmonton already?! Shocked

I don't know how much help I can be as I haven't spent that much time in the highlands myself. I am in Stirling which is really worth a day trip, in my humble opinion! Stirling castle is fabulous and there are lots of other attractions that you can get a discount on using your ticket for the castle.

Do you have a car or are you relying on the train/bus?

Hi!

Been staying with relatives here and helping them out, mostly. Otherwise I would have made tracks to somewhere more populated!

I am travelling by train because (gasp) I've still not learned to drive a manual car... lol
