Learning French with Family

Post Mon Mar 14, 2011 7:38 pm

Hello!
My husband and three small children are bilingual and my kids go to a fully French school here in Ontario. I speak English and am finding it very difficult to be involved with their school life. Summer of 2012, we are moving to France so Mummy can learn French! We are pretty open in terms of location, we think somewhere along the coast would be nice. We are not interested in Paris at this point. Any suggestions for language schools? I would like to be able to take classes in the morning (hopefully finding child care arrangements) and then experience France in the afternoon with the kids. I think with the five of us, we'll need to rent a house. We will be travelling on a budget, so rental costs are likely going to prohibit us from Coastal Southern France. Anyway, as I am sure you can glean from my scattered post, we are still in the beginning stages of planning. I would love any and all advice, suggestions, about schools, childcare and housing you might have! Thanks in advance!
