I just did a search and couldn’t find my question.
Here is my situation. I can apply for an Ancestry Visa but I haven't visited England before so I plan on going there and working temporarily. I am doing this because I want to get a feel for it before I commit.
I have been going over and over those government sites and from what I found is that I don't need a visa for a 5 month stay. I need a work permit that is issued when I land.
This makes me a bit nervous because I am not sure what they will ask of me? Has anyone done this before? They didn't give me anymore information then land and satisfy an immigration officer.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've spent many hours trying to get information and people here are extremely knowledgeable!
