Life in Germany

Post Mon Feb 28, 2011 4:42 am

It´s been awhile since I´ve posted in this forum (over 3 years) and I apologize to anyone who I neglected to write back to in the past. Alot has happened in my life since I´ve been in Germany and thankfully all good things! I have slowly but successfully integrated into german society and even though I will always love Canada, my homesickness is gone. I got married to my soulmate, I found work and had a baby last year. I would love to hear from other Canadians living in Germany to share experiences with or to answer any questions. Take care!

Sounds like my life. It will be 3 years at the end of September 2011. My son will be 2 in June. I am getting involved in my community and still taking German classes - currently B2 as my German is not yet fluent. I live near Aschaffenburg, Barvaria. Would love to chat and swap stories.

Take care

I just moved to Germany (Pofzrheim) 2 months ago after marrying. I have lived here one year before (how I met my husband). Things are going pretty smooth for me, although the language is daunting me. Did you do private language lessons?? Or just at a local place?
