Like TN, H1 also needs a related degree?

Hi,

I am Canadian and I have 9 years IT experience but I have engineering degree from USA.

Is H1 filing gonna be problem as I am avoiding TN due to degree-job role conflict?

Cdn citizens are not issued consular visa stamps for entry into US for H1, TN, etc.
You appear at the border with your H1 approval, and request entry.

Actually my employer asked me what will be your visa post for stamping. I told that I don't need stamping then he asked me which border/airport I would be proceeding from Canada to USA. I told to put Toronto Pearson Airport. I think he needs something to mention in the petition.

Now my questions are:

1) I must fly in using Pearson or any other POE should be fine?

2) What other docs are required along with approved 797 to request entry at POE?

My I-797 is approved for H1B. Will there be any risk involved if I cross through same POE where my TN was denied? What should be my answer if they dig into TN denial.

I was not photographed or finger printed when denied. The officer just said that "your job description does not qualify for TN you better apply H1B"
